10:25 a.m. The start of the plenary session is delayed
Almost an hour late takes the start of the plenary in it Council of the Magistracy, where pro-government and opposition supporters will compete for the Vice Presidency of the organization and the five commissions. By 10 in the morning, President Horacio Rosatti had not yet entered.
In front of a full room, most of the councilors were present punctually, although in addition to Rosatti there were presences that were delayed such as that of the representative of the Executive Power, Geronimo Ustarroz. Given this delay, the representatives aligned with the opposition left the room together for a few minutes. A few seconds before they had done Vanesa Siley and Mariano Recalderepresentatives of the Frente de Todos in Congress.
In a low voice, some councilors hinted that the negotiations were coming until the last moment due to the impossibility of reaching an agreement. The opposition promotes that the judge Agustina Diaz Cordero be the vice president but there is resistance, as with the names for the commissions.
The big problem is getting an absolute majority to designate the Vice-Presidency and two-thirds in the case of commissions. The opposition has 8 own votes and the ruling party 6: From that base they have to go out to capture the support of the academic establishment and the judges.
Meanwhile, Rodolfo Tailhade, one of those who remained sitting on his bench, decided to turn on the microphone and request, as a joke, the suspension of the session due to the delay. Next to him, the official counselor for the legal profession, Héctor Recalde, joined in with a request to contemplate 15 minutes of tolerance.

“The 15 minutes have passed, we would have to choose the president of the body that by regulation has to be the oldest,” Tailhade added minutes later, also as a joke. The sequence was published on his social networks.
Plenary in the Magistracy
He Council of the Magistracy It holds its first meeting in the middle of the year from 9:30 a.m. this Tuesday, April 4. Face to face, members of the Front of Allof Together for Change and the different estates seek to reach an agreement to establish who will be in charge of the Vice presidency and how the five thematic commissions will be distributed.
It is a key day for the institutionality of the body whose composition was expanded from 13 to 20 members by decision of the Supreme Court.
Already in the work meeting that took place on March 22, the name of the National Family Judge was heard Agustina Diaz Cordero as the one chosen to occupy the Vice Presidency. With respect to the commissions, drafts with some names were also circulating even late last night, but which they flatly ruled out among pro-government councilors whom PROFILE consulted.

The places at stake
The Vice-Presidency is a key place because according to the regulations of the organization, whoever exercises it will have the functions of the president when he replaces him due to absence and also all those that he delegates or are conferred on him.
The presidency of the commissions It is also an important place because from there the issues and the agenda to be dealt with are handled.
There are five commissions at stake: they are the Selection of Magistrates and Judicial School; that of Discipline; that of Accusation; that of Administration and Finance; and that of Regulation.
All of them are of vital importance when it comes to making the organization work, although in the first three there are pending issues to be dealt with that arouse strong political interests: that is where the impeachment petitions and the vacant Federal Courts (several of them in the strategic Comodoro Py) and National Courts.
