The National Auditor General and presidential candidate, Miguel Pichetto, was in favor of Diego Santilli being the candidate for Together for Change in Buenos Aires. He also spoke of the resignation of Mauricio Macri and was ambiguous in his definition of Horacio Rodriguez Larreta o Patricia Bullrich for the primaries.
In the midst of the turbulence that was generated in the opposition coalition by the decision of the former President, Pichetto spoke about the meeting of the Buenos Aires space table held this Tuesday and was emphatic in giving his opinion on the best candidate to challenge Axel Kicillof for the governorship.
“You have to evaluate who measures and today the one who measures the most is Santilli. It would be necessary to join efforts and unify candidacies because it is an election that is defined on the same Sunday as the national election,” he considered, adding that “the Pro cannot have seven candidates”.
In the meeting on Tuesday, in which Macri participated, were Santilli, Néstor Grindetti, Javier Iguacel and Cristian Ritondo, among other legislators, mayors and former municipal leaders. Sources close to Santilli told PROFILE that although the agenda was open, the meeting was focused on the electoral strategy and the internal rules for the PASO.

The resignation of Mauricio Macri
Pichetto broke away from the pro-government definitions that spoke of Macri’s resignation due to the low number of votes he could collect and stressed that his role will continue to have weight in space.
“This process was not from one day to the next, but it was in a framework of reflections in recent months. He understood that this was the best path for the Pro, his political force and Together for Change”, he said. In addition, he claimed not to believe the polls because “all this is a political construction.”
“It seems to me that you have to analyze the facts as they are. Macri will continue to be a consultative figure in the style of the American presidents. It should be consulted when there are important events, ”she analyzed.
Pichetto spoke of Juan Grabois
The former senator of Peronist origin also referred to the land ceded to the civil association Tercer Tiempo linked to the Movement of Excluded Workers of Juan Grabois and drew a comparison with the claims of Mapuche communities.
“One of the first acts he carried out in Alberto’s government was the seizure of a field that was not his property,” he recalled about the conflict in the Etchevere field in Entre Ríos.
