The candidate for governor of Citizen Development – Community, rolando figueroa, referred to the challenge made by the proxies of the MPN and allied parties in justice to the logos presented to be attached to the photo of the candidates of the Community party on the screens of the Single Electronic Ballot. From the ruling party, the use of the silhouette of the map of the province in a logo is challenged, “as if everything belonged to them. When the kids go back to class they are going to have to use the map from another province, because the one from Neuquén seems to have an owner”.
Figueroa explained that 35 different options were presented and they were all rejected by the pro-government representatives, now it remains for the Federal Justice to rule: “we are going to wait for the Federal Justice to rule, which has given ample evidence of impartiality and independence in all electoral processes in which we have participated”. In the same way, he recalled that two years ago they used the word ‘Neuquinizate’ in their symbology, which makes a clear reference to their space: “with that image we beat them in the PASO, it may bring back bad memories. But it is a word that clearly represents the values and feelings of our political party, and it is already entrenched in our electorate”.
On the other hand, he said that he was struck by the fact that the proxies of the official lists oppose the use of certain elements of the coat of arms and the flag of the province, arguing that it would be misappropriation, “but they say nothing about the use of the provincial map, which apparently can have an owner”. “The number of challenges formulated, in an organized and simultaneous manner, draws our attention. Don’t be afraid, people know perfectly well who each one is and what their career is, ”he added.
“We want and can use the map of Neuquén in our logo, because in our design it is clearly distinguished and differentiated from any other party, association or entity,” added Figueroa and said that they agreed late not to want to create confusion in the electorate , “presented 13 collectors in the city and 10 collectors in the province, the argument of not wanting to confuse the electorate sounds funny.”
Among the lists that challenge the Community logo are the collectors of Unión de los Neuquinos, Unión Popular Federal and Movimiento de Integración y Desarrollo: all lists that share at least one of the words or their variation in name with the Movimiento Popular Neuquino . The same happens with some of the 13 collectors that the MPN has in the city of Neuquén: Frente Nuevo Neuquén, Frente Integrador Neuquén, Movimiento para el Desarrollo de Neuquén, Confluencia Neuquén, “but apparently in these cases it does not lead to confusion and They meet all the requirements of the Law that the blue attorney invokes”.
