The mayor of Tigre, Julio Zamora, accompanied by the councilor Gisela Zamora, inaugurated and toured the expansion and remodeling carried out by the Municipality at Elementary School No. 44 “Henry Ford” in the town of Ricardo Rojas.
“Really a highly anticipated work by the community of Ricardo Rojas, by the teachers, by the assistants. The conditions they were in were not adequate. Many provincial tenders had fallen to improve this school and the Municipality had the decision to do it from the municipal management. We did it with a lot of effort, a lot of love, we can see the classrooms that were inaugurated, they are beautiful classrooms for the students who are going to come to study. A library, new bathrooms, bathrooms for people with disabilities, remodeling of the old sectors of the school, all are works aimed at achieving a new impetus. To renew is to live and what this renovation of the school really intends is to put a beacon in the community of Ricardo Rojas where the community can be seen, where education flows and the boys and girls who come here do so in the best conditions,” he said. the communal chief.
And he continued: “The speed and amount of works that the Municipality is doing in terms of education is historic. Never before have so many works been carried out, especially related to repairs, repairs, bathroom remodeling, roof coverings, classroom extensions, new schools, a whole battery of actions and works that, somehow, tend to follow a development of growth of educational enrollment, in a Tiger that grows more every day. We are 80,000 new inhabitants, according to the census, and that forces us to think about a strategic planning of what our city is in terms of education”.
The work that was carried out consists of the construction of three classrooms, a library, five bathroom modules that include one for people with disabilities, a management and secretarial room, a storage room, and a SUM-Dining room. In addition, the replacement of the luminaire, mast, landscaping and integral painting works that included the internal patio were carried out.
The act began with the words of the director of the establishment, Lucio Amarilla and the head of Regional Inspection, Amelia Bressan, where they thanked the management of the Municipality. Then Mayor Julio Zamora gave his speech and ratified his commitment to the educational community.
The Undersecretary of Education, Renso Heredia, indicated: “It is a very important day, a historic day for the entire community of Primary School No. 44, a work that was delayed due to various bureaucratic and legal circumstances, but luckily last year work could be resumed. Today we are inaugurating and it is a happiness for all the teachers, assistants and, of course, for all the children and children who attend this elementary school here”.
After his words, the community chief led the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and the cutting of the ribbon that declared the new space inaugurated. Later, he toured the facilities with the community and authorities present.
“I am a graduate of the school, and it gives me a lot of sensations, the truth is that it is very nice to return to this school. A strong sense of belonging has been built, that is the idea, that the boys feel identified, that the school once again be the second home of the students. Regarding this inauguration, it is something very nice because the school is completely renovated, we practically have a new school. The accompaniment of the Municipality in public schools is always important, they are the first to collaborate with the needs and in this particular case it is a great work”, indicated the director of Elementary School No. 44, Lucio Amarilla.
